Club Penguin History

Hello penguins!I made this Club Penguin page so I can tell you the Club Penguin history from the beginning until the end!I made this page also as early as I can and I though that now it’s the perfect time to make it because Club Penguin history every year becomes longer and longer…So first you should also know that I am not sure for any CP(Club Penguin)events that happened from 2005-2009!So I am not responsible if I make a mistake or give you false information on certain topics.I am gonna use other penguin’s sites and blogs to take information from 2005 to 2009 and tell you all about the history of Club Penguin.So here we go and the history starts here:

Experimental Penguins

In the beginning there was a game called ”Experimental Penguins”.This game was created by the original developers of Club Penguin and most specifically Rocketsnail(real name: Lance Priebe).It didn’t become very popular,because it stayed for only a few months,but it got many game awards!

In the game you could create a penguin by naming it and puting a color on it(only from the colors green,blue,red).”Experimental Penguins” was officially created in 2000,but no one knows the exact date except for its creators.The game was a multiplayer game chat,similar to Club Penguin and others,but a little more ordinary and it could also could be found at Rocketsnail Games.

In this game you could walk around by clicking on your penguin and then the location to move on,and you could also enjoy chatting with penguins.From a small amount of pictures we have from the game today we can only say that there we’re snowcats in the game and almost fully whited rooms everywhere.There we’re also mini-games in the game,but they weren’t many.Here are some of them:

Ballistic Biscuit

The game ”Ballistic Biscuit”(later to be renamed to ”Hydro Hopper”)was simular to the game in Club Penguin ”Hydro Hopper”.The only current difference is that in ”Ballistic Biscuit” there was a man/human included in the game.

Mancala Snails

The game ”Mancala Snails”,from where comes the origin of ”Mancala”,was simular to the game in Club Penguin ”Mancala”.The only current difference is that ”Mancala Snails” was played with snales,rather than the little figures in ”Mancala”.

The creator of ”Experimental Penguins” was also working on a game called ”Snowblasters”,but sadly he didn’t manage to finish it.

INTERESTING TRIVIA:

1. Unlike in the other games you could swear in this game without being banned or reported!
2. Other games were also based on this game because it was very ordinary back then and other developers couldn’t think of anything else.
3. Later the creator of the game Rocketsnail/Rsnail said on his Twitter account that the game was closed quickly because back then he just wanted to test Adobe Flash 4 and see if he could create a multiplayer game at all!
4. That explains a lot of stuff,like why didn’t the game last long,why wasn’t the game moderated well and so on.
5. The game was created in 2000 and closed in 2001.Here is a pciture of the official homepage back in 2001.
